The W306 is a typical American ale yeast strain, optimal for the production of IPA, PA. The aroma profile of this strain is rather neutral and produces a dry, pure finish, so that malt and hop aromas come to the fore.

- increased amount of higher alcohols
- weaker settling behaviour, yeast floats well
- very good diacetyl reduction
- high AV° (approx. 82%)
- high alcohol tolerance (approx. 10 Vol%)
Recommended fermentation temperature: 18-20°C (16-23°C)
